Binance Kazakhstan and Biometric.Vision Sign a Partnership Agreement

In February of this year, at the Digital Almaty forum, Binance Kazakhstan announced a strategic partnership with Biometric.Vision, a Kazakh developer of artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies. For financial technology in Kazakhstan, and for Central Asia, this is a first: a major financial institution has adopted technology from a local startup rather than an international vendor.

The agreement was signed by Alibek Narimbay, the founder and CEO of Biometric.Vision, and Zhaslan Madiyev, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the time, Madiyev also served as the General Manager of Binance Kazakhstan.

Biometric.Vision’s technology introduces a modern and streamlined approach to biometric identification. It allows Binance Kazakhstan users to complete identity verification effortlessly, relying solely on their personal identification number rather than physical documents. This innovation simplifies the registration process and strengthens security by eliminating the risk of document tampering.

Alibek Narimbay said the deal matters for local startups in the artificial intelligence sector. Binance tested Biometric.Vision’s technology for a year before signing, and he pointed to that as proof the company can deliver quality products at a global level.

«Our partnership represents a paradigm shift in regional technology development,” Narimbay stated. “Historically, major financial institutions favored solutions from foreign developers. Now, we are witnessing a growing preference for local offerings, signaling the rising significance and maturity of Central Asia’s IT products on the global stage.»
