KYC in the UAEfor a queue of 200 nationalities

We read the Emirates ID and passports from 180+ countries, check liveness and match the selfie against the document photo. Arabic and Latin fields come through in the same pass.

One API covers onboarding for a bank, an exchange house or a free-zone fintech — no paper forms, no branch visit.

Documents in the UAE

One flow for a resident and for a tourist

OCR extracts the visual zone and cross-checks it against the MRZ. Arabic and Latin scripts are read in the same pass, so a document does not need a separate branch in your flow.

Emirates ID

The resident's main document: visual zone, MRZ, ID number. Read for citizens and residence-visa holders alike.

Passports of 180+ countries

The everyday case here, not the exception: biometric and older series, MRZ, validity, holder photo for face match.

Driving licence

For flows where a passport is optional: rentals, sharing, delivery, driver checks.

Residence visas and permits

433+ document types in total. A new resident, a visitor and a citizen go through the same check — the type is detected automatically.

Whatever lands in the frame, the document is detected automatically; its type and country come back in the API response, so your flow branches on data rather than on a guess.

Regulation

Built around UAE regulators' requirements

You answer to the Central Bank, to a free-zone regulator, or to both. We supply the tools that meet the requirement — and the log that proves it was met.

eKYC

Remote onboarding

Onboarding a customer without a branch visit rests on proving the document belongs to the person presenting it. Liveness and face match produce that evidence; our liveness is tested to ISO/IEC 30107-3 against presentation attacks.

AML/CFT

Federal Decree-Law No. 20 of 2018

Customer due diligence and screening against lists are baseline duties of a financial institution and a DNFBP alike. AML screening — sanctions, PEPs, wanted lists — runs in the same request as the document check.

Personal data

PDPL — Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021

Data handling follows the federal PDPL and the GDPR: we collect only what the check needs; retention period and storage location are configured to your policy, DIFC and ADGM regimes included.

A free-zone entity may answer to the DFSA or the FSRA instead of the federal regime, and the rules differ. The final compliance call belongs to your compliance officer; we provide the tooling and the evidence for it.

Integration

Connect the way you prefer — AI agents included

Widget, mobile SDKs, REST API and an MCP server. Emirates IDs and foreign passports verify the same in all four; only the way you call it differs.

JS · Webview

Web SDK / Flow Widget

A ready camera widget for your site or an in-app browser. Prompts switch language with the applicant, and the design follows your brand book.

Mobile SDK

Native libraries with direct camera access. Biometrics go out in small packets, so a check completes on a hotel connection as readily as on office fibre.

Backend

REST API

Direct access to the verification endpoints for your own server logic. Auth by a private X-API-KEY; the result arrives on a webhook.

MCP server for AI agents

An AI agent starts a check and reads the result itself, with no glue code in between. Works with Claude, GPT and any MCP client.

Why us

Coverage that matches the queue

A queue of 200 nationalities

In the UAE the foreign passport is the normal case, not the exception — which is exactly where a vendor built around one country's ID starts failing. We cover 433+ document types from 180+ countries in a single flow.

Accuracy measured by NIST

Our face comparison algorithm ranks 37th out of 570+ in the independent NIST FRVT benchmark. Liveness is tested to ISO/IEC 30107-3 against presentation attacks.

A platform, not a pilot

We are a vendor of the Centralized Identification System of the National Bank of Kazakhstan; Otbasy Bank, Nurbank and Binance run on the platform. The same engine serves your onboarding here.

FAQ

Questions about KYC in the UAE

Yes — visual zone, MRZ and the ID number, for citizens and residence-visa holders alike. Arabic and Latin fields are read in the same pass.

It is the case we are built for: 433+ document types from 180+ countries in one flow. The document type and issuing country are detected automatically, so your funnel needs no separate branch per nationality.

Storage location and retention period are configured to your policy — including the requirements a DIFC or ADGM entity works under. We collect only what the check needs.

Screening against sanctions, PEP and wanted lists runs in the same request as document verification and lands in the same session log.

Registration gives you 500 free checks a month, no card required. Beyond that, use the calculator: the price depends on the modules and volume.

REST API and a web widget; a typical integration takes about 30 minutes. The sandbox opens right after registration and issues the keys.
